Take a look at your makeup stash. Is it mostly black? Probably. And the thing is, you probably didn’t even do it on purpose. True, black is a classic colour (although it’s technically not a colour), always looking chic and refined. But when every brand, luxe or budget, hits that road it all sort of looks the same. Hence why I decided to do the pink edit and pick out a couple of Western and Korean makeup products that instantly put a smile on my face just from looking at them.
TonyMoly Cat’s Wink Clear Pact 02 Clear Beige is a lovely face powder that comes in 2 shades. 02 Has a slight beige colour yet it’s light enough for fair skin types. I mainly use this to set my foundation. It’s so darn cute!
MUA Fur-Effect Nails in Fluffy Puff is the tool to go for if you want fluffy nails. It’s a little messy to apply and the result isn’t as long-lasting as I would want, but for the price I didn’t really expect that much.
The Body Shop x Lily Cole Puff On Radiance was released a while ago but I still keep hanging onto it because it just looks so girly & pretty. The beads come in 3 types of colours: peach, pink and coral and give a nice radiant glow to the skin. This Guerlain Meteorites-inspired face product is one of The Body Shop’s best sellers and is available in the permanent collection (in regular packaging) for those who are interested.
Revlon Lip Butter in 055 Cupcake is a light cool-toned pink in a buttery formula. It’s sad Revlon isn’t available in Belgium anymore (or not that I know of), because these are the kind of lipsticks you love to collect and wear every day. I haven’t had a chance to wear this specific colour yet, but overall the line is extremely smooth and comfortable to wear.
Barry M Nail Paint in 309 Strawberry Ice Cream is a bright candy pink nail polish I can’t wait to put on in Spring/Summer. Costing only £ 3 a pop, Barry M has an amazing price/quality ratio, so definitely check them out when you can.
YSL Touche Eclat Blur Perfector Balm is one of my latest treasures. This pink balm is said to even out fine lines and pores while mattifying. You can use it both under or on top of your makeup. I’ll be reviewing this mysterious product soon so stay tuned!
TonyMoly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar in 05 Peach is the cutest lip balm stick ever. After I got it it was clear it would need a companion. Bunnies gotta stick together! I picked up my second one in Osaka and it might not be the last. Read my review here.
Rituals La Vie En Rose Colour Gloss in Pale Pink* is one of the new tinted lip glosses Rituals released last year. Pale pink is a pretty nude pink that is perfect for everyday wear, but I’m not that fond of the sticky texture and icky taste. Read my review here.
SkinFood Vita Color Lipstick in PK03 Sakura Peach is another of my Japan purchases. This Korean lipstick has a bright pinky peach colour that comes off sheer but is quite buildable. Review + swatches coming soon!
Essie Nail Polish in Romper Room is one of my favourite Essie polishes ever. As pastels will be huge once again, this shade will surely reappear on my nails as soon as it’s Spring. Check out my Sakura nails here.
It’s Skin Macaroon Lip Balm in 01 Strawberry is something I purely picked up because of the packaging, which resembles a pink macaroon.
Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 05 Candy Shimmer is a product I had on my must-try list for a long time. Everyone seems to love these sweet lip gels so I can’t wait to try them out. Candy Shimmer is a bright cool-toned pink and one of the more pigmented shades from the range.
Benefit Posie Tint is the pink sister of the original Benetint. You can use these water based tints on both your cheeks and lips, and build them to create the colour you want. I like to use this on my cheeks or whenever I feel like doing the Korean gradient lip.
Did you check your drawer? How many pink makeup products do you have?
